T.J. Hoban the Top Fitness Model

Many people know Thomas J. Hoban Jr. as T.J. Hoban, the top fitness model in the industry and working actor. But, most don't realize it was a long road to success for this ugly duckling. Born and raised in Chicago, T.J. began acting at the early age of six. He performed in several plays as a youth, including touring the city in a musical production of Cinderella. After three seasons in a theater company, he put his young acting career on hold to pursue other interests. Frustrated with being a runt he began working out rigorously at the age of twelve. Throughout his teens he was awkward to say the least, adorned in bullet proof glasses and braces over teeth that looked like he could eat an apple though a picket fence. By his college years, things finally changed. While attending University of Arizona he visited San Diego for spring break and was discovered by a photographer while walking the beach. That led to his first photo shoot with International Male Magazine, which kicked off his very successful modeling career. Years later he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He began studying with acclaimed acting coach Howard Fine, where he continues to perform in the master class weekly. He developed his comedy improve skills at The Groundling Theater where such greats as Will Farell, Chris Katan, and Phil Hartman originated. Through years of focus and dedication T.J. has become an excellent actor who continues to strive for challenging roles along the journey of his craft.
